Philipp Engelhoven is specialised in the field of competition and EU law. He advises both German and international clients on anti-trust and merger procedures and related penalties before the German and European competition authorities and courts, as well as on the introduction and implementation of competition compliance programmes. He also advises on distribution and licensing agreements under German and European commercial law.
Philipp Engelhoven studied law at the universities of Göttingen and Hannover. Whilst working as a research assistant in the field of public law he completed his doctorate entitled “The lack of Protection in EU Anti-Trust Legal Proceedings”. He then worked as a trainee lawyer in a bank in Frankfurt, in large international law firms in Frankfurt and Brussels and at the Federal Cartel Office in Bonn. He was then admitted as a lawyer in Hamburg.
Philipp Engelhoven’s mother tongue is German and he is fluent in English and French.
