Paul is a partner in the Technology & Inward Investment group within the Corporate department. He has wide experience in representing corporate and individual clients in relation to commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and equity fund raising. He acts for clients from a wide range of business sectors, but with a focus on the technology sector.

The Technology & Inward Investment group is regarded as a market leader in acting for overseas investors, particularly from North America. Paul specialises in acting for emerging growth and public companies from the US and Canada in connection with takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, cross-border group reorganisations, and establishment and operation of business in the UK and Europe.

Recent representative work includes:

  • advising Fujitsu Siemens in its acquisition of the product related services division of Siemens Business Products;
  • advising OMG plc in relation to the acquisition of Data Collection Limited;
  • advising the shareholders of CAFIT Limited on the sale of the company to Odyssey Financial Technologies SA;
  • advising Quadrant Risk Management (International) Limited on its acquisition of Ecensity Corporation and equity funding from Xange Capital SA, Stonefund NV and Dassault Developpement SA;
  • advising HgCapital, Geocapital Partners and other shareholders in relation to the sale of Axiom Systems Holdings Limited to Comptel Corporation; and
  • advising Ambition Group Limited in its acquisition of Witan Jardine Holdings Limited.

Paul is co-author of 'Investors’ Guide to the UK' (2nd edition 2005) published by Kogan Page as part of its 'Global Market Briefings' series.
