Osama is a partner in the Dubai office's Corporate and Commercial Groups and specialises in corporate issues and has particular expertise in the field of acquisitions, company law, litigation, Islamic finance, employment and compliance with local legislation and regulations. He is also responsible for liaising with local advocates who represent the firm's clients from the UAE Courts.
He is regularly involved in the discussion of draft commercial laws with various government authorities including the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Dubai Department of Economic Development and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
Osama obtained his degree from Cairo University and subsequently qualified at the Sudanese Bar where he is licensed to practice as a barrister. He practiced briefly in Sudan before joining a Dubai law firm in 1988. He joined Key & Dixon (now Taylor Wessing) upon its establishment in 1996 and became a partner in 2000. He has also participated in various seminars on behalf of the firm.
