Oliver Rothley is specialised in capital markets transactions (IPOs, placements, capital increases, listings and public takeovers) as well as public and private M&A transactions and legal and strategic boardroom advice to publicly listed companies. Another focus of his work is advice on bond issues. His clients include multinationals, banks and listed companies.
After studying law at the University of Augsburg and the University of Lausanne, Oliver passed his first state examination in 1997 and worked as a research assistant at the University of Augsburg before joining the partnership. After several months of deployment in the legal department of Siemens AG in Munich, Oliver passed his second state examination in 1999 and earned his doctoral degree under a scholarship from Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). In 2002 he was admitted to the bar and joined Taylor Wessing. Oliver has been a partner of the firm since 2007.
Oliver has published numerous articles on stock corporation and capital markets law and given lectures on these subjects. He also comments on large parts of corporation law in the commentary by Wachter on the Stock Corporation Act, published by RWS-Verlag. Furthermore he is a member of the German Corporate Law Society (VGR).
