Oliver Kirschner is member of the Practice Department Corporate and the Taylor Wessing China Group. His main areas of expertise include M&A transactions and general corporate law. Oliver Kirschner advises national as well as international private and listed companies as well as financial investors with a focus on Chinese clients.
During his work for Taylor Wessing Shanghai and a local Chinese firm he has helped foreign investors to successfully set up and operate their corporate establishments in China which is also part of his role in the Taylor Wessing China Group today. Advising Chinese clients in relation to their business transactions in Germany he is used to bridge the different views and approaches.
Oliver Kirschner studied in Regensburg and Beijing and has completed his legal training (Referendariat) in Hamburg. In 2002 he commenced working as lawyer for an internationally recognized German firm in Dusseldorf and in 2003 completed his PhD at the University of Mainz.
2005 / 2006 Oliver Kirschner returned to Asia and worked for an internationally reputable English law firm in Hong Kong. In 2007 he became Partner of Taylor Wessing in Hamburg.
Oliver Kirschner is member of the German Corporate Law Association (Gesellschaftsrechtliche Vereinigung) and of the German-Chinese Jurists Association (Deutsch-Chinesische Juristenvereinigung, DCJV).
A native speaker of German Oliver Kirschner is fluent in English and has basic command of Mandarin.
