Oliver is a member of the Practice Area Employment and Pensions. He advises national and international companies and employers’ associations on all issues of labour law, particulary in negotiations and structuring of collective agreements and concepts to introduce flexible workforce, payment or working time. He is a specialist for contractual and actual implementation of flexible human resources (temporary employment, interim management, freelancers) and supports his clients when they reorganise or restructure their enterprises, the deployment of agency staff and the ensuing outsourcing of parts of the company. He is particularly experienced with human resources services, IT-/engineering and logistics companies and hospitals. In addition, Oliver advises major corporations on their strategies regarding collective labour law issues, on tendering procedures and financial investors on buy-and-build strategies.
Oliver studied law at the University of Münster and passed his first legal state examination in 1996. He subsequently worked there as a lecturer at the chair for German and European Labour and Social Law (Prof. Dietrich Steinmeyer). In his thesis he examined the European Labour and Social Law. After his legal clerkship in Düsseldorf and San Francisco in 2000, he joined KLEINER Rechtsanwälte second legal state examination, a midsized law firm and there became partner in 2005. Oliver joined Taylor Wessing as a partner at the beginning of 2011.
Oliver is member of the “Münsterische Sozialrechtsvereinigung”, the European Academy for economy and human resources services and of several trade associations concerned with temporary employment. He frequently lectures at seminars and publicises regularly in legal journals, mainly dealing with how to improve the flexibility of human resources. He is visiting lecturer at the Heinrich Heine-University Düsseldorf for Labour and Social Law.
