Nick is a partner in our London office and a member of our Reconstruction & Corporate Recovery group. His experience ranges from contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring to advising pension schemes on insolvency matters.
Recent work includes:
- leading the team advising PwC as administrators of Global Engineering, involving multi-jurisdictional disposals of assets and an asset finance fraud on 40 finance companies;
- advising private equity funds on restructurings and workouts;
- advising asset based lenders on insolvency, workout and fraud situations;
- acting on complex fraud litigation for Independent Trustee Services Limited in relation to multi-million pound cross-jurisdictional fraud claims; and
- advising pension schemes on employer restructurings involving the Pensions Protection Fund.
Described in Legal 500 2009 Nick "combines a sharp brain with an aura of quiet authority" and in Chambers 2009 as "calm, sensible and great to turn to when you have a complex problem". He is named as a leader in restructuring and insolvency in Chambers Europe 2009. Nick studied at Lincoln College, Oxford, graduating with an MA in Jurisprudence.
