Neil is a Partner in the Restructuring & Corporate Recovery group at Taylor Wessing LLP and specialises in all forms of corporate recovery matters, including corporate restructuring, and also personal insolvency matters, acting for lenders, venture capitalists, private equity houses, landlords, insolvency practitioners and other corporate and individual clients.
Neil is recommended in the Restructuring / Insolvency Section for Chambers 2011 and in the Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency section in Legal 500 2010.
Recent cases / transactions include:
- acting on the proposed restructuring of a £150 million hotel development in the West End of London;
- acting on the administration and tax driven restructuring of a nursing home developer;
- acting on an Irish focused £1.1 billion property restructuring assignment;
- acting for a secured lender on the administration of a national chain of motorway service stations;
- advising a secured lender on the administration of Portsmouth City Football Club;
- advising an international IT group on a £500m equity and debt restructuring;
- advising PwC as administrators of a national sofa retailer; and
- acting for various banks including Kaupthing, Heritable, Bank of Ireland, Anglo Irish Bank and NAMA on restructuring and enforcement assignments against both individuals and corporates.
