Matthias is a member of the Practice Area Patents. He specializes in contentious and non-contentious patent work for national and international companies.
Matthias passed his first legal state exam in 2003. Subsequently, he wrote his doctoral thesis in the field of competition law and obtained his doctorate in 2006. He passed his second legal state exam in Düsseldorf the same year. 2007 he took part in the LL.M.-programme “Commercial Law” at the University of Glasgow. He started working for an international law firm in the field of Intellectual Property in 2008, before joining Taylor Wessing in February 2010.
Matthias is a member of the German Association for Intellectual Property and Copyright Law (GRUR) and the German-British law society.
Matthias, a native German speaker, is fluent in English.
