Markus advises a wide range of companies, including national and international companies, in particular German groups with interests in France, on all aspects of individual and collective employment law and social security law. His practice is particularly focused on international employment contracts, managing director's statuts, negociation of settlement agreements, mobility, restructuring operations, transfer of business as well as day-to-day advice to HR departements. Moreover, Markus assists his clients before the French labour courts.

Markus, whose mother tong is German, speaks also French and English.

After having started his studies at the University of Cologne, Markus completed a master degree in employment law as well as in social security law at the Paris X-Nanterre University. Markus began his career as lawyer in 2002. He worked within the Employment Law Department and the German Desk of one of the "Big 4", before joining Taylor Wessing France in November 2003, at the time of its setting up.
