Marize is a senior associate in our Employment & Pensions group and is based in our Dubai office.

Marize has worked as a lawyer in Dubai since 2003 and, before that in South Africa.

Marize’s main area of expertise is employment law, both in the UAE and the DIFC. She has advised leading companies on a wide range of employment related issues, including general employment advice, termination of employment, transfer of employment in the event of a merger or acquisition, claims by employees at the Ministry of Labour or the DIFC Courts, employment agreements, handbooks and other documentation and so forth.  Marize has also advised clients in various corporate and commercial matters, including advising on shareholder agreements, agency agreements, licensing, company formations, de-registrations and restructuring, joint ventures etc.   

Marize graduated from the University of Potchefstroom and was admitted as an attorney in the Supreme Court of South Africa.
