Marcus Hartmann – Partner

Marcus concentrates on advising and litigating in trademark, design patent and unfair competition matters. His extensive experience includes the representation of his Clients' interest before all German Courts, the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as before the Federal Patent Court. He also focuses on legal aspects of advertising campaigns (misleading advertisements). Moreover Marcus regularly deals with IP aspects of M&A transactions. He represents both, national and international clients, in particular from the consumer goods and advertising industry.

Marcus studied Law at the Universities of Mainz and Frankfurt. Additionally, in 1991 he studied Law and Political Science at the Universities of Bologna and Modena (Italy). After completing  both German legal state exams in Frankfurt Marcus joined Taylor Wessing in 1997.

Marcus is the co-author of a publication on the New Media Law that deals with domain name disputes. He is a member of the German Society of Intellectual Property (GRUR) as well as of the German-Italian Lawyers Association.
