Manja Epping is a partner and member of Taylor Wessing’s Patents / Pharma Practice Area and Head of the Industry Group Life Sciences & Healthcare. She has extensive experience in advising national and international companies from the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices and food sectors and in representing such companies in administrative proceedings and before the courts (including the European Court of Justice). Her main areas of practice include product launches, the delimitation between different product categories as well as advertising and labeling law. In addition, she advises her clients on cross-border contractual projects, in particular on manufacturing and distribution agreements, research and development as well as licence agreements.
Manja Epping passed the two German legal state examinations in 1993 and 1995. Before that, she obtained a “Maîtrise en droit” in international law from the University of Aix-en-Provence. She has been admitted to the Munich bar since 1996. Manja Epping spent the first six years of her career with Taylor Wessing and joined another international law firm in 2002. She re-joined the Munich office of Taylor Wessing in 2010.
Manja Epping regularly publishes and lectures on current issues of pharmaceutical and food law. She is a member of the expert committee on pharmaceutical and food law within the German Association of Intellectual Property and Copyright Law (GRUR) and a member of the Association of Food Law and Food Science (BLL).
Manja Epping, a native German speaker, is fluent in English and French, and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
