Malti is a senior associate in the Reconstruction & Corporate Recovery group who qualified in September 2005.
Malti specialises in all forms of non-contentious and contentious corporate and personal insolvency matters and solvent corporate restructuring. She has acted for corporate clients, pensions trustees and individuals on all aspects of insolvency matters, as well as for Insolvency Practitioners.
Recent work includes:
- advising a corporate client on a debt restructuring through a scheme of arrangement;
- advising office holders on their appointment, management of insolvent companies and on claims against directors;
- acting for the trustees of an industry wide defined benefit pension scheme in a covenant review and debt recovery exercise; and
- acting for a US based software group with subsidiaries in over 23 jurisdictions to simplify its corporate structure.
Malti has a working knowledge of French and Spanish.
