Hasan's experience includes corporate finance and banking, capital markets, project finance, asset finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and investment, joint ventures and cross-border transactions. He advises the firm's clients on contract negotiation, corporate issues and due diligence investigations. He also works closely with the international Islamic Finance team to propose and structure Shari'ah-compliant financing solutions.
Hasan has experience in advising the firm's clients on the establishment of operations in the Dubai International Financial Centre, listing of securities on the Dubai International Financial Exchange and compliance with the Dubai Financial Services Authority's regulations.
Hasan studied international relations and law at the University of Karachi and qualified as an advocate in Pakistan in 1998. From 1998 to 2003, he worked with a leading Pakistan law firm where he undertook diverse corporate, financial and regulatory legal work. Hasan joined the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London in 2003 to study international finance law and regulation, and successfully completed a Masters of Science in Financial and Commercial Regulation from the LSE.
Hasan is a member of the Sindh Bar Council, Karachi High Court Bar Association and International Bar Association.
