Gustaf-Rudolf Schlieper, LL.M. is member of the Practice Area Corporate and specializes in commercial and corporate law, cross-border transactions, in particular acquisition and sale of companies and interests, as well as joint ventures.

Gustaf-Rudolf is a graduate of Swiss international boarding school Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, and achieved the rank of lieutenant in the German Bundeswehr. Afterwards he studied law and business administration at universities in Freiburg and Münster. In 1982, he passed the Second Legal State Exam. In 1983, he obtained the LL.M. from Temple University Law School in Philadelphia. 

From 1983 to 1985 he was Associate at Walter Conston & Schurtmann, now Alston & Bird. In 1983, he was admitted to the Bar in Wuppertal, later in Düsseldorf. That same year he passed the New York state bar examination and was admitted to practice as attorney at law in New York State. 

In 1985, his professional career in Germany began at Dr. Graf von der Goltz, Dr. Wessing & Partner where he became a partner in 1988. In 1997, he joined Clifford Chance in order to establish and build up their Düsseldorf office. He returned to Taylor Wessing in late 2009. 

Gustaf-Rudolf Schlieper is a native German speaker and fluent in English.
