Dr. Christian Frank – Partner

Christian's practice concentrates on complex technology related transactions and strategic alliances within the IT/Technology sector. His extensive experience includes software and technology licensing, OEM, VAR and other distribution arrangements, R&D, technology transfer agreements as well as other IP driven transactions. He represents both, national and international clients ranging from start-ups to large public companies. Christian is well-known for his technology, IP and unfair competition litigation practice.

After having taken the French "Licence en droit" at the University of Paris in 1991, he completed both German legal state exams in Munich in 1993 and 1995. Christian joined Taylor Wessing in 1996 and graduated as Dr. jur. in Munich in 1999.

His list of publications includes the chapter on “conflicts of laws and jurisdictions” in "Online-Handel" (Beck 2003) and the chapter on disguised advertising in Harte/Henning’s Commentary of Germany’s Statute of unfair competition (Beck 2004). Christian is an active member of the German Society of Law and Information (DGRI), Computer Law Association, and Ligue Internationale du Droit de la Concurrence.

Christian, a native German speaker, is fluent in English and French.
