He advises a broad range of organisations who own or license intellectual property rights in transactional and litigious work, especially leading brand owners. Charles' clients include those working in the food, entertainment, media, sport and advertising industries as well as all kinds of clients who own and license intellectual property rights. Charles is a key member of the firm's Media and Entertainment, Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Trade Marks groups.
Charles represents a wide range of clients in relation to their trade marks, domain names, copyrights and designs, including advising on litigation, oppositions and trade mark filing strategies. He also specialises in the sale, purchase and licensing of brands, advertising and sports law.
Charles is a member of the Advertising Law Group, Licensing Executives Society, International Trade Mark Association, Institute of Trade Mark Agents, Chartered Institute of Patent Agents, International Association of Entertainment Lawyers, British Franchise Association and the British Association of Sport and Law.
