Dr. Axel Godron – Partner

Axel Godron’s area of expertise revolves around international and domestic private wealth legal issues, estate planning, inheritance law and shareholders' rights with a particular focus on publicly and privately held family owned businesses. He advises high net worth individuals and wealthy families in the areas of succession planning, inheritance, trusts, charitable foundations, and tax optimized estate structures in accordance with his client’s long-term objectives and intentions.

This also includes establishing and providing legal assistance to family offices, family trusts and foundations. Axel also handles the litigation of contested estates and trusts and assists foreign clients (many from the US and UK) in negotiating the German probate process.

The founding and overseeing of all aspects of family owned businesses and startups is another important part of Axel’s practice. He advises shareholders, establishes corporate governance, and represents shareholders in shareholder rights’ disputes and conflicts in court.
