Axel Bösch practices from Hamburg in world wide transactions. He specialises in advising and representing domestic and international corporate clients in cross-border transactions, inter alia joint ventures , mergers and acquisitions and the respective corporate and distribution agreements. Axel Bösch regularly acts as lawyer or arbitrator in cross boarder arbitrations. Since 1987 he has been admitted to practice law in New York.  In 2006 he qualified as mediator.

Axel Bösch completed his legal studies at the Universities of Bielefeld and Hannover. In 1985, he completed a Masters of Comparative Jurisprudence, M.C.J., Degree at the New York University LawSchool. From 1985 to 1986 Axel Bösch worked as a Foreign Associate in New York and Paris. In 1988, he wrote his Doctorate on international arbitration.

Axel Bösch is the editor of the "Handbook of Provisional Remedies in International Arbitration" (De Gruyter 1994) published in cooperation with colleagues from 36 other countries. He is member of the Foreign Lawyers' Association Germany, the American Club of Hamburg, the German-French Circle of Business Friends and the German Institution for Arbitration (DIS) and listed as an arbitrator by the AAA (American Arbitration Association).

His mother-tongue is German and he is fluent in English and French.
