Alexander specialises in the advice and litigation in trademark, unfair competition and copyright disputes for German and international clients. The scope of his litigation practice includes the representation of his clients before German Regional Courts, the Courts of Appeal as well as the Federal Patent Tribunal. Furthermore he represents his clients, comprising national enterprises as well as international companies, in the drafting and negotiation of licence agreements.
Alexander studied at the University of Bonn and has worked within the legal department of the Treuhandanstalt in Leipzig following his first legal state exam. His legal training included an internship with a law firm in Tokyo specialising in trademark and patent law. He has been admitted to the bar since 1995 and has been a partner in the firm since 2000.
Alexander regularly gives lectures on unfair competition and trademark law as well as a related procedural law. He is a member of the German Association of Intellectual Property and Copyright Law (GRUR), the Association Litteraire et Artistique Internationale (ALAI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
