The group advises insolvency professionals (for example, liquidators and administrators) on the legal aspects of construction and engineering contracts in the course of their duties associated with the insolvency of a construction and/or engineering company. Our advice addresses the legal aspects of bonds, guarantees and other construction security as well as assisting the insolvency professional in bringing claims and selling assets, for example, by the novation of the building contracts, for the benefit of creditors. We also advise construction and engineering clients affected by a contractor or professional designer's insolvency on their own projects.
