Philipp Koehler is a member of the Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) practice area, specialising in media, IT and e-commerce. Philipp handles distribution and license agreements and advises on matters of copyright, competition and IT law. He has also experience in data privacy and the laws for protecting minors.
Philipp went to law school in Berlin and passed the first legal state exam as fifth of his year in 2008. As a student he worked for a film production and distribution company for three years, focusing on script development and the acquisition and granting of film licenses. As a trainee lawyer he was employed by a major international law firm where he gained expertise in press and copyright law. Philipp was admitted to the German bar and joined the Munich office of Taylor Wessing in 2011.
A native speaker of German, Philipp is fluent in written and spoken English.
