Nicholas Hazell – Partner

Nick specialises in UK and cross-border leveraged buy-out transactions and other investment related work, acting for both private equity institutions and management teams.  Nick's practice also involves advising individual and corporate clients in respect of mergers and acquisitions and on general corporate issues.

He has transactional experience across a range of sectors including manufacturing, retail and leisure, real estate, financial services, telecoms and technology.

Recent deals on which he has worked have included:

• The £51.5m buy-out of the leisure products division of Alba Plc.
• The £80m secondary buy-out of Nuaire Limited.
• The €93.5m secondary buy-out of Attends Healthcare.
• The sale of Protocol Skills to Close Brothers Private Equity for £46.5m.
• The sale of 4D Interactive Limited in a buy-out backed by Promethean Investments.
• The secondary buy-out of Gaucho Grill backed by Phoenix Equity Partners Limited.

Nick trained at Taylor Wessing and became a partner in the Private Equity Group in 2006.
