Mike is member of the Corporate practice group. He is advising medium-sized enterprises as well as multi-nationals on their business activities in China. In addition to issues related to Foreign Direct Investment such as market entry, establishment of Joint Ventures and Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprises as well as M&A Mike’s work is mainly focused on restructuring, licensing issues as well as labor law. Mike has specific experiences in the machinery and automotive industry, chemicals, renewable energy, IT as well as media and advertisement.

Mike studied law at the University of Dresden with major focus on international private and procedural law. In 2000 and 2003 he passed the two German legal state examinations in Dresden and Düsseldorf. Mike spent his legal clerkship in Bielefeld and Shanghai. Until the end of 2008 Mike was leading the legal department of a German consulting company in Beijing.

Mike has published several articles in professional journals with focus on Chinese Law.

Mike, a native German speaker, is fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of Chinese and Russian.
