Dr. Michael Baumhauer – Partner

Michael Baumhauer is specialised in developing contracts regarding shipbuilding, industrial plant construction and space technology. In these core areas he is involved in international projects and represents clients in legal proceedings, primarily all in arbitration proceedings.

Michael Baumhauer completed his legal studies in Freiburg and Munich. He has been a lawyer since 1984 and was head of the legal department of Blohm + Voss AG for several years.

Since 1993 Michael Baumhauer has been the Chairman of the Legal Division of the Association of German Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (Rechtsausschuss des Verbandes für Schiffbau und Meerestechnik). He is also a member of the Legal Division of the Association of German Industry (Rechtsausschuss des Verbandes der Deutschen Industrie) and of the GMAA - the German Maritime Arbitration Association.

German is his mother tongue. He also speaks English and French fluently.
