Louisa is a senior associate specialising in all aspects of EU and UK competition law, including public procurement, anti-dumping and state aid.

Louisa has extensive experience in both European Commission and OFT cartel investigations in a number of sectors including shipping classification, freight forwarding, construction, supermarkets and recruitment services, advising on all aspects of defending a competition investigation, including dawn raids, leniency and responding to statements of objection. She also advised on the first Article 9 commitments decision to be taken by the European Commission with respect to an industry body.

In addition to significant behavioural experience, Louisa has notified and gained clearance for a number of mergers to the European Commission and the OFT, and advises companies and trade associations on competition aspects of commercial contracts across a variety of sectors including media and entertainment, sport, pharmaceuticals and life sciences. Louisa regularly contributes to legal journals in the UK and provides training on a range of EU and UK competition matters.

Louisa obtained an LLM in Competition Law from King's College London. She also has an LLB (Hons) in Scots Law from the University of Edinburgh, during which time she spent a year studying Canadian and international commercial law at McGill University in Montreal.
