Lars-Gerrit Lüßmann is a member of the Practice Area Corporate, focusing on corporate and capital markets law. He advises German and international financial institutions, listed companies and investors in all corporate law matters as well as in connection with the acquisition or sale of companies or participations in Germany. Lars-Gerrit has gained substantial experience in international equity capital markets transactions and M&A, in particular public takeovers.
Lars-Gerrit studied law at the universities of Freiburg, Lausanne (Switzerland) and Munich; he completed his legal training in Munich in 1999. He received an LL.M. degree in Comparative Jurisprudence from New York University School of Law in 2000 and a PHD (Dr. jur.) from Constance University in 2003. Lars-Gerrit started his career as a lawyer in 2002 with a major, highly recognized international law firm, where he spent more than 8 years in Frankfurt and Dusseldorf before becoming a partner in a German independent corporate boutique based in Frankfurt. In 2004/2005, he was seconded to J.P. Morgan AG in Frankfurt. He joined Taylor Wessing as a partner in July 2011.
Lars-Gerrit, a native speaker of German, is fluent in English and has a good command of the French language.
