Dr. phil. nat. Klaus Kupka – Partner

Klaus's practice focuses on advising on and litigating claims for enterprises in the technology oriented industry and in the marketing and advertisement industry.

He is experienced in drafting R&D and technology transfer agreements, and in licensing. He supports clients in establishing cooperations for the creation and protection of intellectual property using all the tools that are provided by law and individual protection strategies. He has many years of experience in dispute resolution, in court litigation, as an arbitrator, and mediator.

In addition to studying law Klaus majored in physics and holds a Dr. phil.nat. of Frankfurt Johann Wolfgang Goethe University chemistry department. He was admitted to the Frankfurt bar in 1987 and joined Taylor Wessing in 1999.

Klaus regularly gives seminars on patent litigation and on product liability in cooperation with experts in risk management. He is co-author of a publication covering German patent law in two international comparative editions. He is member of the German Society for IP and Copyright (GRUR), DECHEMA Society for Technical Chemistry and Biotechnology, Licensing Executives Society (LES), and of the German Arbitration Institution (DIS).
