Dr. Kai Westerwelle – Partner

Kai Westerwelle was born in Bonn in 1963. He studied at the universities of Bonn and Lausanne/Switzerland and served his law apprenticeship in Aachen, Speyer and Toronto/Canada. He then worked as an assistant at a civil law institute at the University of Trier, where he graduated as Doctor in Law in 1996. He was admitted to the Bar in Frankfurt am Main the same year and he first worked at the law firm of Clifford Chance Pünder and then from 1998 until 2003 at the law firm of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He became partner of our law firm in July 2003.

Kai Westerwelle is the author of numerous publications, mainly in the areas of competition law, code of conduct and information technology. He regularly gives lectures at educational trainings, seminars, international congresses as well as at universities.
