Julia Schweitzer is a member of the Practice Area Employment and Pensions in the Frankfurt office of Taylor Wessing. She advises national and international clients in all areas of collective and individual employment law. In addition to restructuring measures Julia also advises on the development of modern and flexible working time models in companies. Here she focuses on the influence of social media and modern communication methods on employment law. Furthermore Julia increasingly focuses on alternative models for conflict resolution which become more important and valuable with regard to collective and individual employment law: Mediation@work convinces as a modern alternative and comprehensive solution for internal conflicts.
Julia studied law at the JWG University in Frankfurt/Main. After her first exam, she completed a doctorate funded through the German Research Foundation at the History of Law Graduate School in Frankfurt. In the framework of her dissertation on the origins of the European (maritime) Employment Law, she spent 8 months researching this topic at the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris. She completed her legal internship in Frankfurt/Main. After her second legal exam (Zweites Staatsexamen), Julia Schweitzer was admitted to the bar in 2006. She is qualified as a specialised lawyer for employment law and business mediation (IHK).
She is member of the Society of Employment Law of the German Lawyers Association and the German Women Lawyers Association.
Julia is a native German speaker and fluent in English and French.
