Johnny is a Chinese corporate lawyer advising MNCs as well as medium size foreign companies in relation to their investments and various operations in China. Besides his specific focus on the pharmaceutical and real estate sector Johnny has developed a profound expertise in the automotive industry advising both OEM as well as suppliers in this field. Johnny is a specialist in M&A as well as all different kinds of commercial cross-border and domestic transactions. His experience also extends to advising on corporate governance issues and anti-trust issues and the restructuring and securitization of Chinese State-owned enterprises by means of overseas IPO.
Johnny is currently based in Beijing. Prior to joining the Shanghai office of Taylor Wessing in 2003 Johnny worked at a Chinese commercial law firm in Guangzhou for four years. He graduated from the University of International Business and Economics (Beijing) with a LLB in international commercial law in 1998 and underwent in 2002 an overseas legal training program in London where he also worked at one major international law firm. Johnny is a fully qualified Chinese lawyer who was admitted to the Chinese bar in 1999*.
* Since Johnny is working for a foreign law firm, he is presently not permitted to simultaneously practice as a Chinese lawyer.
