Dr. Janina Jessel – Associate

Janina is specialised in developing contracts regarding shipbuilding, industrial plant construction and space technology. In these areas she is involved in international projects and represents clients in court and in international arbitration proceedings.

Janina went to school and took her A-Levels in Somerset, England. She studied law at the universities of Hamburg and Bilbao, Spain. After her First State Exam she completed a supplementary course in Business and Commercial Law at the University of Hamburg. During her internship she worked at the General Consulate in Cape Town, South Africa and in two international law firms. Following her Second State Exam, Janina concentrated on her doctorial thesis in the area of Contract Law, before she joined our Hamburg office in June 2006.

She is a member of the German-American Lawyers Association (GALA).

Janina is a native German speaker. She is fluent in English and has advanced knowledge of the Spanish language.
