Managing Partner (Beijing)
Christoph is the co-managing partner of Taylor Wessing’s Beijing office. He is mainly assigned to the firm’s general corporate and commercial practice advising multinational as well as medium-sized corporations on their business operations and investments in mainland China. His special focus in this regard is on foreign direct investment, mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, trade & distribution as well as on strategic business and tax aspects. Christoph advises clients from various industries with an emphasis on automotive, pharmaceutical and real estate industries.
Prior to joining Taylor Wessing in 2006, where he became a partner in 2008, Christoph had worked as a tax lawyer in the tax and legal department of the Shanghai office of one of the major international auditing and accounting firms. He studied law at the University of Passau (Germany) and passed the Second State Exam in 2001 following which he was admitted as a German lawyer.
Christoph has published various articles on China-related legal topics in international law journals. He is a former long-time chairman of the Trade & Distribution Working Group of the European Chamber of Commerce in China.
