The checklist is designed to help you spot potential issues and lower legal risks. It is intended for anyone who is involved in producing or approving websites, marketing materials, advertisements or promotions.
The document helps with questions such as:
- What advertising standards apply to company promotional material
- Which intellectual property rights may be relevant?
- Which specialist areas may be relevant - for example, prize draws, consumer credit, distance selling, financial promotions, medicinal claims, the Olympics, user generated content, unfair commercial practices (where criminal sanctions apply) and prize draws?
