Taylor Wessing Advises Teleflex Inc. on the Sale of its Endoscopic Stent Technologies to Boston Scientific Inc.

Taylor Wessing Germany has advised Teleflex Inc., a New York-listed US company from the medical products field, on the sale of its portfolio of endoscopic stent technologies to Boston Inc., another New York-listed medical products company.  

This sale was completed through Teleflex's German subsidiary, Willy Rüsch GmbH.  The technologies were acquired for an undisclosed amount.  The transaction, which took the form of an assets deal, included the sale of flexible and self-expanding stents, which are used to treat gastrointestinal, and airway obstructions.

The Taylor Wessing team was made up of Munich-based leading corporate partner Dr. Dirk Lorenz and IP partner Dr. Christian Frank together with associates Dr. Nicolai Wiegand (IP) and Dr. Oliver Rothley (corporate).
