Sarah is an associate in Taylor Wessing's Real Estate Disputes group.
She advises a broad range of clients including property investment funds, commercial and residential landlords, retail, commercial and residential tenants, developers, charities with large residential property portfolios and insolvency practitioners. He recent work has included advising on landlord and tenant issues such as dilapidations claims; contentious and non- contentious lease renewals; break options; debt recovery; claims for breach of contract and breach of contract; possession proceedings; insolvency issues; rights of way and property portfolio management.
Recent examples of work carried out includes:
- advising on a dilapidations claim for a large plc in relation to mixed use premises on Putney High Street;
- advising an administrator as to a strategy to obtain vacant possession and/or regularise the tenancies of industrial units where the tenants have security of tenure or their status is unknown. This included successfully settling a contentious lease renewal on the eve of trial;
- advising a property investment company and working with agents on portfolio management issues and often in respect of contentious break options where the tenants have stringent pre-conditions; and
- advising two large property developers of separate multi-let central London premises with strategies to obtain vacant possession ahead of redevelopment projects.
Sarah has a degree in Economics, Politics and International Studies with Study from Warwick University and speaks Spanish having also studied at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid. She is also currently doing a part time MBA at Imperial College London.
