Peter graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge with a masters degree in law in 1983. He became a partner with Taylor Wessing in May 1990.
Since qualification, Peter has specialised in advising on corporate finance transactions, private equity and venture capital deals, business and share transfers, international corporate reorganisations as well as most aspects of general company law with particular emphasis on inward investment for German speaking clients.
Peter has developed in-depth expertise in specific industry sectors, in particular insurance broking and underwriting, materials handling, book and music publishing, professional services and financial services.
Peter is recognised for non-contentious work by Legal 500 who call him “an excellent corporate lawyer”. Chambers and Partners also rank Peter and have described him as “great at practical project management, avoiding pitfalls during negotiations” and mention “he always knows what needs to be done, by whom and when”. Chambers and Partners 2012 has since commented that he is “as adept at dealing with the detail as he is with really complicated issues”.
