Clotilde focuses on intellectual property and technology related matters and has been working in Dubai since 2004. Before joining Taylor Wessing, Clotilde was a partner in a Dubai based law firm where she managed the corporate department. Before moving to Dubai, she was working for a leading Italian law firm where she specialized in banking and commercial law.
Clotilde studied law at the University of Bologna, Alma Mater Studiorum, Italy. She was admitted to the Italian Bar Association in 2003. In 2005 she gained a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Bologna, Alma Mater Studiorum, Italy. The Masters focused on commercial/corporate law in the MENA region.
Clotilde has been involved in several cases concerning counterfeits products and parallel imports for a number of international brands in a diverse range of industries such as fashion, technology, pharmaceutical, real estate and media. She has also been involved in several disputes concerning trademarks, copyrights and web domains. She has successfully represented a number of international brands’ owners in disputes with their local agents and franchisees.
Clotilde has extensive experience in advising clients on negotiating and drafting commercial agency contracts, franchising agreements and licensing agreements. She also advises on strategic alliances and other business issues.
She is fluent in Italian, Spanish and English.
