Charlie is senior counsel specialising exclusively in corporate immigration work.

Charlie assists international and UK businesses on the full range of their business immigration requirements.  This includes advice on: 

  • the operation and management of sponsorship licences
  • Tier 1 and Tier 2 visas, including recruitment and visa extensions for non-EEA staff
  • prevention of illegal working and general compliance, including sponsor licence obligations
  • indefinite leave to remain and nationality applications
  • the impact of corporate transactions or outsourcings on migrant staff

Charlie also advises high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs on specialist visas for non-European wealth creators and their families.

Charlie has the added benefit of being an experienced employment lawyer, having previously acted for start-up and established UK employers on all aspects of their HR work. As a result, Charlie has expertise in handling the increasing overlap between employment and immigration work, for example in relation to disciplinary matters, employment documentation and compliance issues.

He is a member of Taylor Wessing's highly regarded Inward Investment team, which specialises in advising overseas companies setting up and running UK operations, ensuring that key staff from global offices can work in the UK on assignment.
