Alan is experienced in all aspects of commercial property transactions, specialising in:

• Property development
• Property acquisitions and disposals, both as investments and for business use
• Leases and other landlord and tenant matters
• Property aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals.

Examples of recent transactions include:

• A sale and leaseback transaction involving over 190 properties and a total consideration of £250 million
• The sale of two shopping centres for a combined consideration of approximately £125 million
• The negotiation of a development agreement with The Corporation of London to facilitate the development of an office building in the City of London
• The development, letting and subsequent sale of distribution/warehouse units on a major distribution park in the South West of England

Alan graduated from Sheffield University (LLB (Hons)) and trained at Taylor Joynson Garrett (now Taylor Wessing), qualifying into the Real Estate Department in September 1997.
