Corporate, Commercial and Projects Associate (5-6 PQE)
We are seeking an associate (with approximately 5-6 years' post qualification experience) to join the Corporate, Commercial and Projects practice group which currently comprises of 7 partners, 10 associates and 4 trainees to provide support on real estate transactions.
This is a broad role and will suit a candidate that is looking for a varied workload with a real estate focus. The candidate should have experience in the following areas: real estate corporate M&A, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, limited partners, and LLPs. They should also be familiar with real estate structures and will have had some exposure to management agreements including property, assessment and facility agreements. Candidates must be prepared to perform a key supporting role in transactions and negotiations.
The candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team but also have the confidence to manage files independently. They must be UK qualified with 5-6 years' PQE coming from a recognised legal practice, with experience in the relevant areas (as outlined above).
The following skills/experience are essential:
- Bright with strong technical ability, including a good working knowledge of the Companies Act 2006.
- Good commercial acumen.
- Strong drafting skills, both with and without reference to precedent documents.
- Be able to delegate to more junior members of the team.
